A significant amount of The Eclipse Trio’s output has been instrumental. Grace Note is a compilation of all that music, taken from four of the band’s six albums, Hourglass back in 2000, Eclipse in 2003, The Frailty of Dreams in 2013 and 12 Friends in 2017. Every part of the band’s twenty-five year history is reflected on this album – tracks like We Are Young and Dawn composed at a time when Eclipse was a driving, six-piece rock band, Blue, when the Trio became more jazz influenced, and Mermaid from its most recent line-up on 12 Friends.
